To inscribe a symbol, to create a beautiful object, or to invent the form of an idea are ancient expressions. The objects of these expressions figured cosmogonies, facilitated the representation and resignification of the real. They also allowed for non-representation and the reinvention of art as an intention to provoke an aesthetic experience, as a possibility of reflection and transformation.
Because art repeats the passage from nothing to existent, it permits the contemplation of being as a temporal fulguration. But from something that does not submit. At Achronima, we wish to share this experience of an ontological condition in flight from Chronos. The artistic objects we choose are diverse, ancient or contemporary, but in each there is a fissure through which to see a clearing.
